Everardo Josue Garcia, of Brownsville, was arraigned Thursday morning on one count links of london sale aggravated assault. Police said he struck a 20-year-old man after a dispute escalated, even as the victim lost consciousness; at one point, Garcia was said to have kicked the man in the face, making an imprint of his shoe. Garcia and a roommate, Jose Gracia III, 20, then allegedly dragged the victim to a parking lot, where Links of London Charms was picked up by an ambulance, Brownsville Police Spokesman Eddie Garcia said. The victim remains in the hospital with serious injuries, he said. The incident occurred at party earlier this week at Estancia Apartments off University Boulevard, the police spokesman said. Garcia's bail was set at $20,000.
